Mike Skinner was credited with leading
a lap and collecting 5 bonus points last week, he did not. Kenny Wallace did lead a
lap and was not credited. Points have been corrected.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. picked up where
he left off here last year, grabbing the pole for the Harrah's 500 with a lap of
28.320 sec./190.678 mph. Bobby Labonte will start in second position with Dale Jarrett
third, Bobby Hamilton fourth and Steve Park rounded out the top five.
Dale Jarrett used some of that
famous Yates Horsepower to get by Johnny Benson with five laps to go to claim the win in
the Harrah's 500 in Texas. Steve Park had a strong run finishing in second with
Johnny Benson third, Kurt Busch fourth and Jeff Gordon rounded out the top five.
